The Business Management program teaches students to  analyze the elements of the business environment and to focus on attitudinal and problem-solving skills inherent to success.  Topics covered in this program include the production, marketing, and distribution of goods and services, as well as the roles of the financial  institutions, the government, and the individual within the free enterprise system. Students will explore various careers related to the economy. Students in Business Management will develop a foundation in the many activities, problems, and decisions that are intrinsic to the management of a successful business, as well as an appreciation for the importance of these responsibilities.  These students receive hands-on business  management experience  in this program by running the Trezevant Savings Bank, which is a student-run bank, located within TCTC.

EXTRACURRICULAR OPPORTUNITIES

* The Business Economics  course and the Virtual Enterprise International course satisfies ½ credit of Economics required for graduation.

* The American Business Legal Systems course satisfies ½ credit of U.S. Government required for graduation.

​

* Students have an opportunity to receive the Financial Literacy Certification (CFL).

​

* Dual Enrollment Credit with Southwest      Tennessee Community College is offered in  Business Management.

​

*Students can receive Career Readiness Certification and OSHA-10 Certification.

​

*Students in the Business Management program can participate in Job Shadowing, Service-Learning and Work-Based Learning opportunities.
